Realizing Our Place in the Big Picture

As I read today's daily reading on the new http://www.youversion.com/1yearbible site, a few things came to mind and really stood out to me: All too often, we are guilty of questioning God in what He is doing or isn't doing as we perceive it to be. I tend to feel that in so doing, we are doubting that God IS WHO HE says HE IS; hence, bringing HIM down to our level mentally. Which is quite dangerous...in that HE decides if we will see another day of life, and knows the story of our lives from beginning to end, so who are WE to question HIM? Some of life's greatest blessings stem from those prayers we throw out to God, and in return, hear no answer or hear the answer NO. For all those things I used to think were of importance, I say today, "Thank you Lord for NOT giving me my way, but instead, for protecting me and keeping YOUR WILL intact." The idea of the proud being made lowly, should be an eye opener for all of us in our daily walk with Christ. He is faithful with little, will be entrusted with MUCH. Now THAT'S what I call a promise from God that you can take to heart. Not where you want to be today? Life not treating you as you think it should be? Be faithful in those little things you do day in and day out that you don't think get noticed! Someone IS watching and DOES notice; and that someone is God HIMSELF, and HIS promotions in life are far greater than any your boss/employer could ever grant to you. I also am aware that we as Christ Followers, have to be even more aware of our speech, behavior, attitude and speech; more so than non-believers, because Christ lives in us and if we are out there acting and talking like everyone else in the world and causing others to stumble...we WILL answer to God for that. Is that a chat you really want to have with the Lord of Lords and King of Kings? I know I don't...so today I pray to God and beg of HIM, "Lord keep me humble, fill me with a servant's heart and mindset, empty me of myself more each day and fill me completely with you! Let YOUR love pour out of me into the hearts and lives of others, that your name would be Glorified, and praises would be sung unto you alone God. Keep me in check and guide me in your wisdom to truly be the example of Christ's Love, Mercy, Compassion, Patience, Peace, Joy and sound mind. A Personal Invitation to ALL of my friends

After a bit more than one year of being in prayer over where God is calling me in my life, and what I am to do; the answer has finally arrived for step one. I am going to be leading a LifeGroup via the LifeChurch.tv Internet Campus, beginning in January 2009.

For those of you who are not familiar with what a LifeGroup is or does, here is the simplest definition directly from LifeChurch.tv :

LifeGroups are the connection point at LifeChurch.tv. It is in a LifeGroup that you will experience the merge of Shared Passion, Shared Purpose and Shared Lives.

LifeGroups are small groups of people who meet regularly in order to make a difference in the community, develop friendships with each other, and challenge each other to be more like Jesus. LifeGroups meet in homes, online, in Facebook, public libraries, or wherever there’s room! And they’re the best place to meet people and “be known” at LifeChurch.tv. The bottom line is this: LifeGroups are about living the way Jesus lived, not just talking about it. If you’re not in one, you’re missing out!

That being said, I am sending out a personal invitation to you all, to come participate in one of my LifeGroup gatherings in the near future. With the help of God and the involvement of good friends, it is my goal to truly reach out to others with the Love and Truth of Christ, and to see lives forever changed through personal experiences, group outings/activities, and just being involved with one another...truly doing LIFE TOGETHER as a community.

I not only wish to see the friendships deepen among all who would chose to participate, but I really want to see local outreaches being done and lives right in our very own communities touched. That is what being a Fully Devoted Follower of Christ is about: Reaching Out, Connecting with Others and Growing Spiritually as well as Personally.

It is my sincere wish that you would prayerfully consider plugging into one of the gatherings sometime soon and that you would also help spread the word for me by re posting this in your own blog or bulletin. Thank each and every one of you for your friendship and what you bring into my life.

Well well well. Kuddos to the Internet Campus at LifeChurch.tv for coming up with the brilliant idea for all of us to film a short video clip, giving a literal "Global Christmas Greeting" to those who will be joining us from around the Globe this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day via the Internet Campus.

My Christmas Plea to YOU

This Christmas Season I ask each of you to take the time to really examine your hearts and souls and realize the REAL and ONLY REASON FOR THE SEASON; and that is the birth of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! The BEST GIFT anyone can ever receive and accept for their lives.


Am I perfect? Without flaws? FAR FROM IT, BUT I AM forgiven and have everlasting life with MY KING and LORD when the time comes to leave this planet we call earth.


My Christmas Prayer for everyone on my friends list is simple:

1.
That if you don't already have a personal relationship with Jesus, that you would pursue HIM with every fiber of your being and let HIM LOVE YOU and give you the LIFE you can only dream about.

2.
That you would SHARE the LOVE of Jesus with those in your circle of influence before it's TOO LATE!

3. And finally, I am praying for amazing growth and development in each of your walks with Christ. Let us slow down to hear the still gentle whispers of God as HE speaks to our hearts. And YES God STILL talks to HIS children and HIS children KNOW HIS voice.


Please stay safe and show the world the LOVE of Christ this year and every year to follow. It is so simple to do a small kind thing daily to show the world that all is not wasted; that there is still HOPE, LOVE and COMPASSION towards humankind that exists in this day and age.

I fear we all too often live in that What If mentality, yet at the same time, so often fail to take the chance to see what would happen if we really did ASK.

WHO do YOU LOVE?

Hi Friends,

With Christmas just one week away, I would like to remind you all that there is NO better time than Christmas to SHOW loved ones, friends and co-workers the LOVE of Christ.


This can be done in so many simple ways, such as:

Baking a neighbor some cookies and hand delivering them

Inviting a co-worker or friend over for Christmas Dinner who may not have any family

Calling a friend or family member you haven't talked to in quite some time

Inviting someone special out for coffee or pizza, etc

Sitting with that homeless person on the bench downtown and just loving on them with the gift of conversation (no hidden agenda)

Donating time or money or both to a local charity or cause you believe in

Anyway you get the idea. Share some of Christ's Love with those around you this Holiday Season; and who knows...the one getting blessed could just be YOU!

It is also at this time of the year that most who would never step foot in a church due to any number of reasons, become more receptive to the idea. That being said, I'd like to personally invite YOU, YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, CO-WORKERS, NEIGHBORS to join ME and a GLOBAL COMMUNITY via the Internet this Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
